Post foundations are block foundations embedded in the ground, which are primarily subjected to a moment load and whose stability is ensured by the earth’s resistance.

Due to unfavorable subsoil conditions, it may be necessary to build structures of various designs on so-called bored piles, or to use the bored piles to direct the loads into deeper, load-bearing soil layers.
Depending on the nature and load-bearing behavior, the load can be introduced via the “pile tips” or via “shell friction”. Depending on the nature of the soil, it is necessary to add an additional formwork aid with the reinforcement in order to prevent the concrete from accidentally penetrating the subsoil. But also to stabilize the borehole and thus have the possibility of pulling the drill pipes before concreting.

If the ground conditions are particularly difficult, the use of an insulated formwork attachment may be necessary to exclude the impact of external influences on the bored pile as far as possible.
