Projekt Diemen-Muiden
In Amsterdam and Almere, 45,000 to 60,000 houses and apartments are expected to be built in the next few years.
The A1 and A6 will therefore be expanded so that this economically important region remains accessible. This expansion is also intended to improve the quality of life in the surrounding area.
The A1 and A6 will have more lanes; the A1 will be shifted 300 to the south. As part of this relocation, a second bridge will be built over the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal.
The most challenging structure in this project is the construction of the largest aqueduct in Europe, which stands out with a width of 65 meters and a length of 620 meters.
wbr GmbH supplied the round and oval cladding tubes for the prestressing technology for both the bridges and the aqueduct.
